Hi, I'm Maria the designer and creator at Purple Fox, welcome to my little shop!
I live on the outskirts of Bristol, just as the city turns into the beautiful landscapes of the West County, with my husband, grown up twin daughters (my older daughter having moved to Cornwall to teach) and our two rescue dogs.
I am so lucky to do a job that I love - I am a teaching assistant at our local village school, and I am able to combine this with my two great passions, gardening and crafting!
I run Therapeutic Horticulture sessions with the kids which they really enjoy - so much so we won a Gold Medal in this years Bath In Bloom competition (so proud of them) and having passed my Forest School Leader qualification I also lead Forest School and Outside Learning sessions for all our children.
This gives me the ideal opportunity to pass on my passions to the next generation, but as you can imagine doesn't leave me much spare time to indulge my love of crafting!
I adore knitting, sewing, making jewellery and I am just branching out into wood craft - using my new found forest school skills!!
