Peppermint Crow - unique fine silver pendants handcrafted from real botanical treasures, capturing and preserving nature

Hi, my name’s Liz. I make unique fine silver pendants crafted from real botanical treasures (leaves, seeds, lichen, berries, etc) foraged from the fields and woodland close to my home in Berkshire.

My pendants are not so much inspired by nature as crafted directly from it. I use silver clay to carefully form a cast which captures every intricate detail. When fired, the organic matter burns away, transforming and preserving the leaf in pure silver (999). Every minute detail and texture is imprinted by the clay, rendering every pendant unique.

I make a wide variety of pendants which I finish in a variety of ways: some highly polished, some with a satin finish and others are oxidised to create an antique patina.

Creating each pendant is both a labour of love and an obsession! I stumbled upon this craft several years ago and was immediately hooked; I had found something which combined both my creativity and love of the outdoors. Frequent time in nature is a necessity for me and I gain a huge amount of joy and satisfaction from every stage of the pendant-making process. Transforming a fleeting creation of nature into fine silver is alchemy!
