I am Judith Knight - the name behind nelly&pickles stitchery.
Why nelly&pickles? I have two children, both now flown the nest (leaving lots of time for sewing). Their childhood nicknames were Ellienelly and Mr Pickles - from there came the name!
I have always stitched, whether that is clothes (even a wedding dress a long time ago) or embroidery or making beautiful things for the homes of my family and friends.
The enjoyment of making and creating has always been the anticipated pleasure of the person I am making for.
I love to use quirky combinations of fabric and colours, but will also often return to my favourite - rainbows and Christmas (not usually together!). I try to choose high quality 100% cotton fabric and materials with a natural look, such as hessian or burlap. Oh, and I can't resist lace, ribbon and buttons.
I am excited to spend more of my time making for more people! Many of my items lend themselves to being personalised or customised. If you don't see quite what you're looking for, please get in touch
