Handmade, Sometimes slightly wonky but always 100% Unique ! Clothing, Costumes, Gifts

Hello my name is Mim and welcome to my LittleJacksCornwall shop,(so named after my little boy who's two) Pretty much everything inspires me I love Bright colours, I love Christmas, And Dickens,( especially at Christmas), and Art and films, and Cornwall and Music and Bristol and well, everything! When I was 16 I had a job in a Fancy dress shop, they used to give me bags of old fabric and let me make costumes out of them, I would stare at the fabric and wait for inspiration, decades later, nothing has changed. When I make something I don't tend to make much of a plan, in that sense it's more like doing a Drawing.
However, over the years I have learnt a lot, for the past three years I worked for a Large Chain of Drycleaners, I have learnt all about problem fabrics and worked doing the alterations and repairs, and have left with an overwhelming desire to try make everything washable at 30 degrees! I have also designed and made Costumes for various circus acts, stilt walkers, acrobats, a ventriloquist, a period drama and a puppet(kids tv pilot).
This Year has been incredibly difficult and for the first time in my life I am unemployed, but I'm refusing to accept this and I am determined to sew myself out of it!, The other day I registered self employed and am planning on using this lockdown to get creative! This year I have been inspired by the rainbows everywhere and have made some quilts, cushions etc
