Indulging Our Love For Handmade Wooden And Knitted Products

Hi all!

My name is Matthew and have recently set-up our folksy shop, making all manner of hand-made wooden and knitted items.

I had been working all my life but recently had to give up my job due to ill-health 2 years ago. So, with limited options, I decided to expand on my love of wood and hand-made objects by updating my knowledge (and tool collection!) and, after looking at folksy for while, here I am!

I will be adding items weekly, doing my best to offer quality, hand-made toys, boxes, furniture, curios and many, many other one-off items, including intricately-knitted toys.

I do plan to be offering fully-personalized items before long, giving my customers a full-range of choices and options for that perfect gift or item for your home.

*We will always make Lego-based items as it really is amongst the most versatile and timeless of toys, for all ages. My wonderful lady Lucy is en expert knitter and loves to knit the most amazing characters, toys, figures and much more*

Our dog Pixie, a Lhasa-Poo, hangs around the workshop or curled-up under Lucys' chair while she knits. She reminds me when it's her tea-time or walkies by coming in the workshop and looking at me with an expectant look!

So please keep my shop in mind and definately check back weekly to see any new items added to my listings.

My love of wood is what motivates me and when I wake every morning, I am already thinking of new designs and ideas, before I jump-in my tiny workshop to try to bring these ideas to life. The thought of making someone smile while opening one of our items is a great feeling and keeps us going! I think it’s important to try to make people happy and so we are doing what makes us happy to hopefully make you and your loved ones happy too.

In these times where so many mass-produced items are churned-off the production lines, there really is nothing more beautiful than a traditional, handmade item, always made with love, so that you can show your love to your special ones - to be a part of that story makes it all very worthwhile!

knowing that someone will be opening a bespoke, carefully crafted product never fails to keep us doing what we do. In these very strange, sometimes confusing times, we think it’s the most important thing to make others happy and so while we will never start a charity, or come up with the next groundbreaking, earth shattering invention, we will hopefully make a difference to someone, somewhere. The power of a smile, eh!?

As mentioned, I will be offering full personalization options in time, once a laser-engraver and CNC router are set-up, so fully engraved, carved personal items will be available - all very exiting!
