Hi everyone my name is Lynne and I'm the person behind Calmelia Designs.

I used to be a nurse and sewing/knitting was always a hobby of mine. After having my children, I couldn't bare to part with some of they're items of clothing (particularly those first outfits!) that's when I started making keepsake bears and other animals. Also cushions, patchwork quilts and name hangers all from they're clothes.
I would of loved to have made a keepsake from some of my dads clothing so that is something that I also make for people.

I appreciate how precious these items are so I take great care with them and every item is made as if I'm making it for my own family.

You'll see on some of my items, little added appliqué parts or extra frills. I think it's a shame when you cut clothes that you lose some of the motifs or wordings so I cut these out separately and appliqué these on. I think you'll agree that it definately gives these creations a uniqueness.

A lot of what I make, I design myself so if you don't see what you're looking for, please contact me and we can discuss creating something new together!
Other things I make are from patterns purchased from www.funkyfriendsfactory.com if you haven't seen this webpage,it's definately worth a look. There's some beautiful things there and is good for ideas of what to have made!
I'm currently not CE registered so these keepsakes are purely for display purposes only and not intended as toys.
