I’m Carla, a smiler, daydreamer and doodler from Derby or more seriously, a freelance illustrator, community artist and the proud creator of Love Lalaland, a world where anything is possible.

My colourful designs and happy things celebrate positivity and individuality, perfect for colour lovers who spread good vibes and find joy in everyday moments.

I have a distinctive, fresh, bright and bold style influenced by popular culture, street art and character design.

Love Lalaland was born in 2017 while I was on maternity leave. I was always a crafty kid but after getting an E in GCSE Art I didn’t follow my dreams of becoming an artist.

Now I’ve discovered my unique superpower, I’m pursuing my passion embracing my perfectly imperfect playful drawing style and doing what I love.

I create motivational prints, stationery and personalised gifts to encourage connection, in my happy place, my home studio, fondly called the Doodle Den.

I also work with charities, voluntary/community groups and not-for-profit organisations on commissions of all sizes because I love a challenge these include sculptures, murals, underpasses and wheelbarrows!

My mission is to make the world a brighter, happier place and inspire the next generation of doodlers and use my creativity for good.
