I can't believe it when I think about how long I have been sewing, 25 years is a long time, and I learnt it all from my Mum. I added pattern making to my bow a few years ago, if only I knew what a creative release it would be to design my own patterns I would have done it ages ago.
I live with my husband and two children near the beautiful City of Bath. It provides an extraordinary mix of predictable and ordered Georgian architecture and the natural environment of lush green valleys and rivers, which works wonders for my inspiration.
We have recently extended our home to include a workshop for me to work from, this is where I create my clothing designs both for customers, and myself, and sew to my heart’s content. I run a small repairs and alterations service for the local area and on occasions deliver small sewing or textile art workshops for children and adults.
I sell my clothing online and also at artisan markets, most recently I had a stall at the Bath Artisan Brunch market. It was fruitful and enjoyable so I shall be returning again.
