The detail in nature feeds my soul, inspires my pictures ,cards and textiles.

Hello there I'm Kate Buchanan and I'm a creative crafter/ textile artist living and working in Hertfordshire.
Whether it's following my own creative process through and developing my own artwork or in the setting up of a creative space for teaching others when I'm running workshops here at home in my studio, I believe we are all creative, we just need a little time and space to play.
My first love is fabric, followed quickly by colour. The detail in nature inspires my work whether it be a pressed garden flower in a frame to a silk painting inspired by what I see. Most of my work is made by layering up paint, fabric and stitch and finishing with a few words to ponder !
