Hello, I’m Jikun, an independent artist and maker living in Loughborough, UK.

My work is inspired by colour, nature, the freshness of spring and the fragrance of flowers. It reflects my inner vision of a beautiful life: a life filled with warmth, imagination and small moments of happiness.

I create original Chinese paintings, richly textured oil landscapes and playful handmade decorations. Cats, dogs, flowers, fruit and quiet little houses often find their way into my work. I have a particular love for green and for the natural world, and I enjoy noticing and preserving the gentle, joyful moments of everyday life.

I hope you can feel those moments in my art. Perhaps a painting can carry a little happiness into your home, offer comfort on a quiet day, or simply remind you to notice the beauty already present in ordinary life.

I put warmth, imagination and individuality into every piece I make. I believe art can bring positive energy, reassurance and a sense of connection. As a Chinese saying beautifully expresses, “The warmth of everyday life brings the deepest comfort to an ordinary heart.”

Every item in my shop is individually handmade by me. My original paintings are signed, and my Chinese paintings may also feature my traditional red artist’s seal. As each piece is made by hand, visible brushwork, subtle variations and natural irregularities are part of its unique character, not imperfections.

I hope my work will bring colour to a quiet corner of your home or become a meaningful gift for someone special. I also welcome selected custom requests, including pet portraits painted from photographs supplied by customers.
