When I was very small my father always called me Jenny Wren so I decided to keep that name. I started Jenny Wren Crafts as an outlet for the things I make.
I have always loved making things. My grandmother taught me to knit and sew and my mother to draw, paint and do needlework. My mother in law taught me to crochet and I have taught myself to make rugs, quilts, beaded jewellery, cards and other things.
I take my inspiration from the materials I have around me or that I collect when I am out and about exploring the British Isles. A red, white and blue stripy jumper from a charity shop in Tenby may become a nautical cushion, a flowery curtain from Pickering may turn into cushions or craft bags, scraps of material left over from other projects get turned into rag wreaths or odd balls of wool into hats. I try not to waste anything and love to give things a new lease of life.
