Jardinera Stitches is the home of embroidery and textile art inspired by the beautiful Worcestershire countryside and in particular my garden (“jardinera” means “gardener” in Spanish). My designs are bold, simple and colourful, created with a few straightforward stitches suitable for beginners.
I'm a self-taught embroidery artist, whose craftiness has been passed down through my family. I was first taught to knit by my nan, whose needles clicked she knitted so fast! While my love of creativity was inspired by my mom (herself an accomplished embroidery tutor) through childhood visits to museums and galleries and summer holiday sketching sessions.
I find both nature and creativity to be very healing, as they encourage mindfulness and have mood-boosting effects. Through nature-inspired designs and slow stitching, my hope for Jardinera Stitches is that it helps people find their own little sanctuary.
