Hiya lovely folksy folks! I'm Ali, a Scottish Wife and Mum who makes and bakes. I sew lots. Mainly by hand because it soothes me. I'm a creative type, always have a project on the go to keep my mind and hands busy. I also knit. Socks are my jam! I started selling my wares a few years ago in the form of brooches over on *whispers* Etsy. I still have a shop there with my brooch designs but that designing took me into the world of sewing accessories. As a crafter myself I appreciate a good needle book or three, pincushions by the bushel and anything else to prettify my sewing table. I also am a wee bit obsessed with bees and embroidery. They combined into the basis of a lot of my designs. My folksy shop is new but I have been selling my wares as custom, made to order items for a couple of years now and decided recently to start making my designs ready to ship so no long waiting times for your sewing accessories.
I make needlebooks, scissor fobs and pincushions featuring embroidered bees and flowers. Gorgeous linen and Liberty of London, the fabric love of my life. I also love to sew using English Paper Piecing. My designs are real labours of love and i devote many hours to them. I've also recently started putting my felt brooch designs onto needlebooks too. Hoping to do more of that cross over stuff in the future. Also project bags.

So that is me, obsessed with making. Mum of two teenage boys and lady cats at home in my wee bit of Scotland.

Buying from me

Can a crafter ever have too many accessories?
Here at jammypudding and custard you will find handmade needlebooks, pincushions and scissor fobs sewn with Liberty, vintage sheets, linen and ticking fabrics and most adorned with hand embroidery of a wee buzzing bumble bee which sometimes love to hover over a chorus of flowers.
I also use English Paper piecing, patchwork and appliqué.
I have been selling my designs directly through social media for a few years already.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.

CUSTOM ORDERS:
Please make sure you read through all of the description and are happy before you purchase your order. Once purchased you cannot claim a refund etc once the order is sent.

PRE ORDERS:
Please make sure you read through all of the description and are happy before you purchase your order. Added items on a pre order will ship with that preorder.
You MUST contact me with 3 days of ordering if you wish to have input in the colour of zip or colour/type of lining fabric. After 3 days have passed with no contact from you, you are allowing me to choose for you and therefore have no claim to a refund etc if you are not happy with the choices I have made.

SHIPPING:
All items will be sent within three days after payment is received.
All items will be sent via Royal Mail from the UK with a Proof of Postage receipt. You will receive notification when your order ships. Items sent within the UK will be posted as Second Class as in my experience there is little difference between First and Second regarding postage times. This does not apply to international orders. Expected delivery dates are around two to three days for UK. International dates are from five to ten working days but can be considerable more if sent in busy periods or any custom delays.
Please get in touch if you have any concerns about delay.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not responsible for items once shipped. Refunds will be made on wrongly sent ITEMS ONLY not on shipping costs and I will only accept returned items with postage paid by the customer with proof of postage. Please contact me as soon as possible if items need to be returned.

All items are shipped as STANDARD unless upgraded to TRACKED by CONTACTING ME BEFORE PURCHASING SO I CAN ADJUST SHIPPING COSTS. I would highly recommend upgrading as I can do absolutely nothing to help find an untracked item. Royal Mail do offer compensation for lost and damaged items, STANDARD shipped items are up to £20 and TRACKED up to £50 and although you, the customer, are responsible for making any claims, I will have Proof of Postage for you to use in your claim. I highly recommend, therefore that you upgrade shipping on items/orders especially if the value is over £20 to cover any loss or damages.
Royal mail do not consider an item lost until after 10 days in the UK, 20 days for Europe and 25 days for the rest of the world PAST the due delivery date.

Any tax, duties or other custom fees incurred on arrival are the buyers responsibility.
Postage prices cover postage and packaging, as well as my time travelling to the post office.

PAYMENT:
I accept payments through Paypal and items will ship once paid within the stated times on listings. Please make sure your Paypal and Folksy account addresses match. Any custom orders will be paid upfront before making.

Items are handmade by my fair human hands and therefore designs may vary slightly. I do my very best to describe my designs accurately and to photograph detail so you know exactly what you are getting. Always feel free to contact me for more information on designs.
If you are unhappy with your order or feel it is wrong, please contact me immediately and we can discuss the best resolution. Returned items must be sent back in the same condition as sent.
