“original paintings by mouth”
I am a figurative artist, and I have worked with the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists since graduating with a degree in fine art in 1993. Most of my work is produced for them, largely designs for Christmas or greetings cards, calendars or for other products in their range.
I also hold exhibitions, and give talks and demonstrations of my method of painting. These often take the form of workshops in local primary schools, which is a great way of increasing disability awareness, and also great fun! It’s always rewarding visiting adult groups too, as many who have bought MFPA cards and calendars over the years are glad to be able to see a mouth-painter ‘at work’ for the first time.
I am married with two daughters, who occasionally feature in my paintings. I was born in Crawley, West Sussex, but have lived and worked in Stoke-on-Trent since 1993.
