Geraint handcrafts Windsor chairs using traditional green wood working techniques

I am fortunate enough to live on a small farm situated in the beautiful Dysynni valley in North Wales. In my workshop I create chairs with hand harvested wood, some from the farm and the remainder sourced as locally as possible.

Leaving home at sixteen to serve an apprenticeship in engineering at Rolls Royce. This is where I learnt the attention to detail that you will see in the chairs.

Having been lucky enough to have had a varied life including ten years living and working in Calabar, Nigeria. While there I was introduced to green woodworking by a wonderful volunteer, who was teaching carpentry to some of the local youths. He left a lasting impression on me, and years later on returning home, I felt inspired to turning my talents into building beautiful hand crafted chairs.
