I measure.... I stir......I colour.....I pour....... I test....... I sell..... & Repeat

Hi my name is Fiona.... I married my soulmate 27 years ago we have 4 grown up children 3 sons 1 daughter. Retired from my profession A Nursery Manager of 12 years. Since childhood I was always encouraged to be creative, my Nana taught me to Knit at the age of 6 & crotchet at 7 and have continued to make & sell Baby knitwear in my spare time. Through the years I have enjoyed embroidery, origami, making paper flowers, & Kanzashi (Japanese art of making hair accessories).
When my children left home I definitely suffered "empty nest syndrome" and made the decision that it was the right time for me to start up my own little business, The Peony Studio was born I chose this name as Peonies have always been my favourite flower. My Hubby built me a studio at the bottom of the garden.... It was my space to create. I chose Home Fragrance, the reason being I am OCD & one of my many obsessions is smell (I have to smell everything) which can be embarrassing when I'm out !! I am passionate about beautiful perfumes. My all time favourite perfume has to be a classic Chanel No5.... I wanted to style my home with my luxury fragrance... without breaking the bank as I didn't have a income. I had a reasonable start up budget, researched, & brought my 1st stock of ingredients... I started with wax melts, these were pretty easy & cost effective I made a batch of "Inspired" by No5 and filled the house with them using plug in wax warmers.... I was in Heaven.. then I felt brave enough to ask friends & family their favourite perfumes, I made Reed Diffusers, Room Sprays, Car diffusers, Plug in Diffusers all with their favoured perfumes/aftershaves and gave them as gifts. I then went on the journey of making candles which did take a long time... lots of testing!! I didn't realise how much testing it would take to make one candle finally I came up with the perfect recipe. I then decided that they were good enough to sell them that was 3 years ago, I have been doing School fairs, Christmas Fairs (until COVID struck) & a couple of my local shops keep a small stock. I have a good relationship with my customers. I also have a little team that earn from selling my products. My Slogan was born "Style your home with a luxury "Inspired"by fragrance. And yes I have a Cat Betty x
