Feather Interiors was founded in 2016 by Bronwen. Having a degree in Fine Art and already 5 years of experience in the fabric industry, she decided that she wanted to focus on interiors. She furthered her knowledge by completing a diploma in interior design, as well as taking soft furnishing classes. The business was initially a consultancy and making service, bringing fabrics to clients. This worked well until covid hit.
Having her income disrupted, she took a different turn in her career, managing a new start up art gallery, whilst still running Feather Interiors, albeit with a smaller set up. She played a key role in getting the gallery up and running in its first few years, but her love of interiors remained strong. She decided to leave this role to work full time on Feather Interiors.
In February 2024 the business got its own showroom in the beautiful south Somerset village of Stoke-sub-Hamdon. With this expansion Bronwen’s husband Chris came fully onboard. With his business background he will be key to the day to day running of the admin side of the business, and he will also be found out and about fitting with Graham, Bronwen’s Dad, or doing a measure up.
As Feather Interiors is a family business, on a Saturday you may find in our showroom our weekend manager, Bronwen’s 12 year old daughter, Willow. Houses should feel like homes and we lead by example by always having family at the centre of the business
