About Edith & Audrey Handmade

Edith & Audrey Handmade

Hello, I'm Natalie and I make all of the things here at Edith & Audrey.

I've been making for as long as I can remember. When I was in my teens someone gave me an old hand crank Singer sewing machine which I was still using in the early 2000s when I launched my first online shop selling bunting and handmade cards. It was around that time I was given the old Bernina machine that I still use to create the bulk of my makes today. I am also an advocate for slow stitching and many of my makes feature hand stitching or embroidery.

The name? Edith and Audrey are my grandmothers, who inspired me to live life on the thrifty side. The make do and mend approach often influences my work as I love to salvage and reuse fabrics that once had a life as something else, perhaps an old dress or a vintage curtain.
