Here are some things just listed by other crafters and sellers on Folksy.
On the whole, charging up and down the M5 75 miles each way on a daily basis was a soul destroying activity and the 'windowless office' bit in the middle only served to compound my conviction that ' this isn't for me'. So that was it, I packed it in and went off to Lyme Regis to become a traditional wooden boat builder.
Boat building was fun and I ended up with a very beautiful boat that I built, but it was really all about getting the hand-skills that I could then use to do... well, anything! That's the thing about using your hands and learning to use tools. Once you've mastered some skills you can do so much more than just the thing you first set out to try and do and if you have that strong creative itch, well, it enables you to scratch!
So my Folksy shop just might become a bit of a department store! I enjoy using different media and making anything that I can from what's available to me but wood is my default material. All my wooden products are made either from locally sourced woodland that I manage or from driftwood found on the beach below my cottage.
I hope you enjoy what I make as much as I enjoyed making it for you!
