Scrape artist

A scrape artist, or scrape art is where you add dots and lines of colour to your canvas and use a scraper to drag the paint.

Creating layers and building tone and texture to create abstract bases on which I then turn the colours and patterns into a painting or just leave as an abstract one of a kind piece.

I rarely use brushes when I create a piece and only in times to add a small piece of detail or focal point to a composition.

I love this way of creating art as it doesn't allow me to pre plan a piece, the colours and lines that build up lead their own dance in what they will become.
