I’m a contemporary artist based in South Aberdeenshire, creating original acrylic paintings and fine art prints from my small home studio.

I’ve been painting for over 30 years, although for much of that time I worked in print and digital design. No matter what else I was doing, I always found my way back to painting - it’s where things feel calm, focused, and most like “me.”

My work is often inspired by quiet, introspective moments - whether that’s a portrait with eyes closed, a single flower, or something half-hidden emerging from shadow. I’m drawn to contrast, texture, and colour, and I like to let pieces evolve as I work on them rather than planning everything out from the start.

Everything I create is made with care and intention, whether it’s an original painting or a print taken from one. There’s something special about owning a piece of art that’s been made slowly, by hand, and I’m really grateful to anyone who chooses to support that.

And yes - there is a studio assistant… a black cat called Jess, who likes to supervise (and occasionally get in the way).
