Handmade Felt Backed Sheep Fleece Rugs and Pet Beds

We are 2 friends who stay in the lovely Morayshire in North East of Scotland. We started making felt backed sheep fleece rugs after getting our own flock of Herdwick sheep first sheared and being shocked at how undervalued and wasted the fleeces were!
After looking into what we could do with such beautiful, natural products we began making our very own sheep fleece rugs by wet felting carded wool onto the backs of them. We particularly love doing this process as the sheep lives on for another year to produce another fleece, and we are able to create unique rugs, each with their own story to tell.
Our rugs not only make stunning additions to any house, office or even motorhome but they make fantastic pet beds! They’ve proven extremely popular with our own cats and dogs, of which we have no shortage.
We now make rugs with fleeces from other local farmers and crofters too, giving us a bigger range of breeds, the farmer/crofter more money for their produce as well as more choice of colours, sizes and shapes for our customers so a win all round!
