A 'date night' present from may partner at Cardiff Pottery Workshops was my introduction to pottery. I'd planned to take a pottery class decades earlier, but the fates had not cooperated and my life took a different turn. I knew that evening that my life had been changed, and that I had to find out how to spend more tine with this incredible medium.
I completed a pottery course on the wheel, then spent some months perfecting my throwing skills. Everything was to change once more when I took a one-to-one session on handbuilding. I left the wheel and found myself free to create more personal items which some say reflected my individual personality.
The third star which alligned to plot my course was a simple suggestion by a fellow potter that I could maybe look into sculpture. It was such a crazy idea that I had to give it a try...
