I started knitted in April 2020, just for something to do. After a few false starts and getting a bit muddled (and my cat trying to join in!) I made my first scarf and I was hooked! I made more scarves for myself then ventured into hats and wrist warmers.

In a yarn shop I go to I was chatting to the owner and I said I'd love to make myself a jumper but wouldn't know where to start, she was very encouraging and showed me a few stitches and gave me some tips and I bought my first pattern. It took me a while to pluck up the courage to start it, now I've made lots of items for myself, cardigans, jumpers and tops.

In 2023 my step-daughter had her first baby, a girl, and I made her a hat followed by two jumpers, she has worn them a lot and she looks so cute in them.

I had found that my new hobby had become extremely addictive! So in the winter of 2023 I decided to try Christmas markets as I had made lots of items. These were fun and I continued them in 2024.

I was chatting with a stall holder at one and she mentioned Folksy so here I am!
