Sewing Stuff - that's been my line for a while and I really can't think of anything else!

I have been sewing since I was a teenager growing up in East Germany, quite often making new things out of recycled materials. I will give anything a go that involves fabric - soft furnishings, patchwork, quilting, clothes, upholstery. I love recycling materials and making zero-waste items that cheer me up every day. I am a stickler for accuracy and only well made items leave the sewing room for sale - friends and family generally get lumbered with the seconds!

I graduated in English Language and have been working as a foreign language teacher, TEFL teacher and I also obtained a diploma in making soft furnishings when pregnant with our fourth child. As well as running the textile business from our (ex-) dining room - and in normal times this includes workshops - I also I run a small accommodation business from our home. My sewing room is my favourite room in the house.

We have free range ducks, chickens and cats, and a lot of items I make are inspired by them, as well as the children.
