I have always loved art and crafts but my passion was oil painting, especially on large canvas which I used to do in my 3rd floor studio. Unfortunately as my disability increased and my level of mobility decreased I had to let my studio go as it became inaccessible to me. Oil painting is not the most practical of hobbies to do in a tiny house with a small child and lots of pets so I needed a new hobby to keep me occupied. I started making jewellery out of found objects and broken necklaces and quickly became hooked!
My designs are created mostly with vintage, upcycled beads and found object, such as seaglass and pebbles. I only use objects I love and I let them guide my design process.
More recently I've also started using swarovski crystals as I love the quality and they sparkle so beautifully, I guess I'm a bit of a magpie...
