I have always enjoyed creating art in some form or another, and my art has taken many different forms using all sorts of media. My plan now is to focus on one thing - giclée prints of my original work. I haven't got an art degree - I picked up everything as I went along over the last 15 years. My original work usually incorporates vibrant colours and graphic shapes. I use a variety of media such as acrylics, watercolours, inks and collage. All of my giclée prints are printed using archival ink with an Epson printer by me, in-house, on luxurious paper. There is a digital element to my prints - that is, when I scan the original artwork I have to 'clean up' the edges using Photoshop, adjust the colours if necessary, and sometimes I will completely change the colours from the original in order to create something new.
All prints are sold unframed so that you can choose your own frame to match your home - I wouldn't presume to know your tastes in home decor!
My work has been exhibited here in the UK and in the USA. It has been featured in two magazines and I have had work commissioned by a large pen manufacturer. This shop is new, but I am not new to Folksy and I've also been selling successfully in various other places online for the last ten years.
I live in a fenland town with my husband, grown-up daughter and not-so-grown-up cat. The art-studio gods have not yet blessed me with a dedicated art space. Meanwhile, our home is slowly being overrun by art supplies!
