Nature-loving, sea-sliding artist and postwoman

My name is Jess and I'm a surfing, hiking, artist currently working full time as a North East postwoman.
My work is a melting pot of all the skills and interests I have collected over the years, from photography to illustration, woodwork to knitting and after many years of anxiously hiding it from view I'm happy to finally be sharing it with everyone in it's many forms.

I love nature and everything it has to offer; from it's wild untamable waves, to the quiet moments I find myself lost amongst the bracken of an old woodland in search of lichen and funghi to photograph, bathed in birdsong and the smell of damp earth.
My emotional connectedness to this wilder world has birthed an anthropomorphic quality to my animal illustrations and writing, a trait I tried to avoid for many years but have come to accept and appreciate.

All of my work is original, handmade or handprinted. I hope you enjoy it :)
