Hi
We are Sue and Rob, a husband and wife team making hand made wooden greeting cards, plaques, tokens and keepsakes .. as well as personalised wooden gifts. We laser engrave our designs, and then decorate some with hand painting and embellishments. .... all from the bottom of our garden ... in our log cabin. We live in Cwmbran, S Wales with our German Shepherd dog called Riley.
How did Wooden Cabin Crafts begin?
Well ... I have always loved all sorts of crafts ... and now that I'm retired, I have plenty of time to try out different crafts.
Plenty of time?? Who am I kidding!!
Then 'Lockdown' happened !!
My hubby is an Optometrist, and was furloughed. So now HE was at home with ME for 24/7 !! I had to find him something to do .. other than sitting in front of the tv, remote in one hand and his mobile phone in the other !
But ... the time at home gave Rob an insight of what retirement could be ... so he decided it was time to hang up his 'sight test chart' and fully retire.
We've actually been at home 24/7 before... but under completely different circumstances. Rob is recovering from Prostate Cancer, and became quite 'down' during his treatment .... and lost interest in everything. We certainly did not want a repeat of that .... so .. I bought him a CNC Wood Lasering machine ... and he set it up in his log cabin .... and we looked at ways we could work together to make gifts for our family and friends. .....which we did, and they all loved what we did.
So we felt that we could try selling our 'makes' online ... and here we are !!
