Creativity with enamel, fused glass, stained glass and mosaic

I am based in Halifax, West Yorkshire where I bring groups of people together by joining them in creative fun and learning. This can be at my workshop for scheduled course dates or private bookings. I also work with external groups, big and small, adults and children - schools, work team building events, scouts, WI groups, art groups and more. A great way of bonding with people who want to know each other better or have some fun together. This could be through enamelling on copper, glass fusing, leaded stained glass or glass mosaic.

I also make my own creative work and am currently having fun with enamel on copper which is the work you can currently see for sale here on Folksy.

In addition to my creative life, I also work part-time as a Bikeability instructor in the Bradford and Kirklees areas which can be freezing cold in winter, but great in the summer when the sun is shining.

In my "spare" time, I am training to run the Jungle Ultra Marathon on Peru in 2021. This was postponed from June 2020 due to Covid-19, so I will have another year of keeping very fit. The race is to run 150 miles through the Amazon Rainforest over 5 days. I will have to carry all my own food, hammock, sleeping bag and any other supplies. The route is sign-posted with check-points with water along the way and then a camp to stop for the night with all the other racers. I can't wait!

All a bit of a change from my "previous life" of IT Project Management in a corporate world. Nothing like a tempting offer of redundancy to give you the kick up the back-side you need to start living the life you actually want. But that was over 8 years ago and I haven't looked back.
