Sewing and needlepoint are both huge passions of mine, when I am not sewing on a machine I am stitching or working on a new needlepoint designs.
I began with Raeburn Tapestry offering new and creative needlepoint designs that are vibrant and modern, as well as a classic and advanced range of designs. Recently I changed the name of my shop to Raeburn Design to incorporate my sewing of accessories, tapestry design and more recently soap making.
My professional background was on Bond Street for 15 years working with Tiffany & Co., Asprey and Garrard all of which gave me an excellent eye for detail, design and the importance of good quality materials. My family are from the Isle of Lewis where we holiday every year and I always come home with new stock of Harris Tweeds that I love working with.
Nowadays, I am a mum of two small boys where I came upon the idea of 'Klean Kidz' soaps. Soaps that hold toys or charms that encourage children to wash their hand to free the toys or charms. I then branched out into Adult novelty soaps 'Square Peg' which I really enjoy making, coming up with silly ideas to add a little fun to the conservative world of soap making!
