I have a small business designing and making small textiles products. I originally trained in ' Women's Light Clothing Manufacture' , learning the processes for manufacturing in industry and I later studied Constructed Textiles at Middlesex University. I started selling my work at Covent Garden Design Market between 1980 -1986, continued doing commissioned work while developing a teaching career, and now run my business full-time. Alongside my handknitted products I design and make hand embroidered 'Folk Art' pictures and Folk art lavender filled Artefacts and house decorations. I am inspired by many things, Nature's colours and patterns, architecture, Art Galleries and exhibitions and by the yarns and materials I work with.

The last pair I bought was from Bristol Harbourside about 10yrs ago.they have been worn and darned to extinction.This is a replacement.Slightly larger but I hope will be just as good.

Beautifully made and unique a lovely item to have. The smell of lavender takes me back years to when my mum made lavender bags! Brilliant seller, very easy transaction with jet propelled delivery! I will be visiting Verity Bloom Makes on Folksy again soon!
