“Mad about Coconut”

TribalShed is a new startup, founded in 2017.
Our adventure started in November 2016 after a trip to Bali. We were inspired by all the beautiful products made from coconut shell: jewellery, lamps and kitchen items, and have discovered how satisfying it is to work with the material. It is also very strong and lightweight.
Currently we are:
- hand crafting lamps using coconut shell, wood and stone
- building shelves, mirror frames etc out of reclaimed wood and/or tree branches
- polishing jewellery like earrings and necklaces/ pendants from coconut shell
- renovating old wooden furniture
and more.
We always try to use recycled, natural and eco friendly materials. All our pieces are hand made and polished with a different types of sand paper, then finished with natural polish beeswax or oils.
Not only are we making good use of the coconut shell but we also prepare a coconut milk from the flesh and dry off any left over pulp to add into cakes and cookies. Every piece of the coconut is used, nothing goes to waste and we are proud of it.
Since the idea came up we have been busy transforming our passion into a small business. We have learned much and have the experience to overcome the many mistakes we encountered in the past… thanks to them, we can offer a more professional service to our customers.
