Here are some things just listed by other crafters and sellers on Folksy.
I try to live in a low-impact way, as self-sufficiently as possible, and all my products and processes reflect that concern. I don't use power tools, for example, and I don't use plastic packaging - I ship my products in traditional straw and re-used cardboard.
Yes, I might be a bit of a crank - I've had electricity-generating solar panels since before they were cool, as well as a proper returnable-glass-bottle milkman, I mend things, I grow my own veg and I keep chickens and sheep to produce eggs and textiles for the family. Not everyone wants to go that far, but we can all do our bit.
I love using hypertufa, because it's versatile, eco-friendly and beautiful. It looks like stone, is cheaper and lighter in weight, like ceramics but is durable and weather-resistant like plastic - perfect! I started making my hypertufa planters simply because I wanted to eliminate plastics from my garden, but once you fall in love with hypertufa, you have to use it for everything!
