Breathing new life into unwanted items!

Hi, I’m Jane from Barrowford in Lancashire. I love being creative and jewellery making is my favourite way to spend my time. After devoting many years to raising a family, I took the plunge and set up Tinker Jewellery in 2018. My mission was to make my business as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible and that’s why I make my jewellery by recycling existing materials; vintage & decorative storage tins, plastic gift cards and offcuts saved from the landfill. Nothing is more satisfying than being absorbed in the cutting, shaping and filing of materials to create a gorgeous and unique piece of jewellery. I like to work organically, so I don’t always know what the end result will be when I set out making. Sometimes my designs are dictated by the pattern or the theme of the material I am using, other times I just go with the flow!

Aside from jewellery making I love; gigs, music festivals, long walks, singing in and organising a community choir, spending time with my family and meeting up with friends at the pub!
