I've loved embroidery for as long as I can remember and as a history graduate who loves nature I find inspiration everywhere. I began designing cross stitch patterns when I couldn't find what I was looking for. After developing my skills over a number of years I now enjoy making small pieces of embroidered art and greeting cards as well as producing a growing collection of cross stitch and blackwork patterns?
I've been a keen birder since childhood and birds are one of my favourite subjects, both for my patterns and my handmade pieces. I also love Celtic art, an interest that began as a post-Riverdance obsession with all things Irish. Some of my patterns are based on artwork which is over a thousand years old.
I live in the Amber Valley area of my native Derbyshire and I work from home.
