Our vision is to design and create fun, playful and unique fashion products for all to enjoy and feel inspired by.

We are a small business based in Chester, UK, we established the business in 2013 and originally started out buying and selling vintage clothing and homeware. But we soon got the urge to create and design our own products, driven by our passion to be more creative in what we do and by the fact that we were bursting at the seams with great ideas! So by that realisation with all our creative impulses we decided that our brand had much more to offer, so we took it to the next level and started to design our own tshirts. Now we have our very own studio where we create, design and produce every individual Grunge Monkey product.

We take our inspiration primarily from pop culture, surrealism, fantasy, other worldly ideas and anything that is a little bit kooky really. We are admittedly obsessed with the opposing symbolism of light/dark for example (pastel colours, galaxies, unicorns, fairytales) and dark things (gothic, skulls, occult, creepy)and we use this aesthetic quite a lot when we are creating our collections. Our designs dont always carry a concept behind them either, they just have to be aesthetically pleasing!

We are always growing and changing, and we are constantly inspired by everything around us so who knows what we might create next...this is just the very beginning our creative journey and I hope we deliver in our vision to create and inspire you because we want you to enjoy our journey too.
