From tree to bowl - best quality hardwood preserved in beautiful bowls (Olive Ash shown here)

I have been turning hardwoods in the Tamar Valley on the Devon/Cornwall border for many years.

Cherry, Walnut, Yew, Apple and Ash are my favourite timbers - generally sourced locally but also occasional exotic species if obtainable and of best quality.

Inspired by master turners Richard Raffan , Ray Key and many others - I strive to produce deep, incurving bowls with flowing curves, an even wall thickness and showing figured wood as much as possible

Bowls are finished with plain flush bases and beeswax polished to a satin finish

Buying from me

Turned bowls and boxes made from Ash (my favourite timber), Yew, Apple, Cherry, Walnut and the occasional exotic timber.

Emphasis on deep flowing curves, crisp lines and showing figured wood

Finished with beeswax and polished to (usually) satin finish - Easily repolished with beeswax and a soft cloth

Bowls are packed carefully and shipped Royal Mail 1st Class (signed for) as standard - other shipping methods on request

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
