I suddenly decided in middle-age that I fancied having a go at machine sewing...borrowed an auntie's machine to see 'how I got on'...and haven't looked back ! Quickly discovered that bags and purses are a particular passion- I often find myself looking at all kinds of fabrics (especially with a view to upcycling!) thinking "I have some great fabric at home that's go nicely with that to make my next bag!" I especially love to save some of the fabric to make a small purse or toiletry bag to go with the tote or crossbody that I've just made....I love matching items! It can be so sweet to see a little version of the big one :)
I live in West Sussex and no longer go 'out to work' so all my time is spent sewing, gardening (another massive passion) and walking with my two springer spaniels (the little loves of my life!)
I have a husband and two grown up sons (and a daughter-in-law) that I absolutely adore.
Life is good!
