About ShearHeartFelt

ShearHeartFelt

Loves the artistry of creating with wool.

Just a bit about me and my creative love.

I live on the inland edge of Suffolk. I have retired from a long career in nursing and now have more time for my felting.
I have been felting for about 6 years and am self taught with the help of U Tube and some very helpful advice from Facebook felting pages.
I started by needle felting models. Then I had to learn to wet felt to make a coat for a witch I was making. That led on to me learning how to make felted rugs and lock by lock cushion covers. In turn that made me learn to peg loom weave to use up wool I had left. I source all my fleeces from rare breed flocks bred for their fleeces or a sheep sanctuary. I also paint pictures using wool as my medium or 2D felting as it is often referred to.

I am inspired by the nature around me but do also love using my imagination to make witches and mythical beings

I have a small dog and 3 gorgeous grandchildren.
