Handcrafted Textiles from Coastal Suffolk

I'm Sarah, Hi!
A lifelong interest in sculpture and textiles has led me down my own little rabbit hole of creating sculptures and tactile gifts from local wool and recycled fabrics and notions. My main medium is wool and the technique I use is needle felting as well as other needle work such as knitting, and hand or freehand machine embroidery.
Sustainability is important to me, so I use local and recycled as much as I possibly can. I'm a Suffolk gal and have lived on the outskirts of beautiful Woodbridge close to the River Deben and the famous Sutton Hoo site for 8 years now. The farming estate that I live on and the land and it's creatures provides constant inspiration for my makes. I have four children that I home educate, a flock of unruly freeloading chickens, some four legged dustbin dogs, a small herd of guinea pigs ( not my idea) and an occasional resident shrew that sneaks in during the winter . Making fulfils my need to provide for my family in a creative and sustainable way and whenever a customer chooses to make a purchase, I really do do a little happy dance .
