Art inspired by nature, characters and lush moments

I'm a new artist living in the Cotswolds, and have got so much pleasure from watching various birds, animals and insects visit my little garden throughout lockdown. I started to photograph everything in detail, enjoyed translating this into sketches and watercolour painting, and it's taken off from there!

I like to keep everything very freehand and relaxed, embracing imperfections and just experiementing with ways to capture the characters of these creatures and the beauty of the plants they explore.

I focus on seeing the beauty in everything living alongside us (very cheesy!), but I honestly feel it grounds me, it makes me notice things so much more, and I'm constantly feeling inspired about what I can next paint!

I work from my home, I've been making cards to raise money for the Rainforest Trust, and otherwise plan to keep developing a portfolio and release various prints. I've been a film producer for 18 years, and also work as a voiceover artist. I'm obsessed with cats.
