Gorgeous Bead, Soutache and Wire Work Jewellery including Hypoallergenic Range

I'm Sara (pronounced Sarah) Firstly, thank you for visiting my shop. This shop is my own little piece of heaven.

From 2000, I'd been studying for a degree and working as a Teaching Assistant with a view to being a teacher. I finally qualified in 2007. In November 2014, I'd been working as a primary school teacher for 7 years, it was stressful but thoroughly rewarding, I thought I'd be doing this forever; when I suffered a nervous breakdown. Looking back I can see how and why but at the time it was completely unexpected. It was the end of a career I loved.

During my recovery, my GP suggested I found something to fill my days, so I started crafting. Firstly using paper, making cards and boxes. I then moved onto making jewellery. I am completely self-taught and I find it very therapeutic, as it takes me away from the world and I lose myself completely in the process of making.

I started making bead bracelets and necklaces. I suffer from Hyper Sensitive Skin where most metal jewellery, yes including precious metals, cause a reaction. So I started making jewellery that had no metal components. This became part of my ethos.

I do make jewellery with metal components and took a course in wire wrapping, to help expand the range.

Mostly, I use small seed beads for beadwork jewellery. I love the nature of sewing beads together to make intricately, detailed unique pieces.

I'm happily married with 2 grown up sons and I live in the beautiful West Sussex Countryside.
