We are a husband and wife team, living in the Scottish countryside an hour from the border, we have some of the most beautiful countryside imaginable right at our doorstep. We have just started out on our resin making/selling journey and I for one am happily addicted, I’m busy working on the smaller products and at some point in the future we will add a coffee table or larger item in the mix.
We use a eco friendly resin that states it can withstand temperatures of up to 90 degrees, but you still have to be careful placing hot items on them (coasters are mainly for cold cups), all epoxy resins will discolour through time and if placed in direct sunlight this will make that process happen quicker and make any flower or petal work fade quickly too. The colours are made by using metallic mica powders and colour tints as well as glitters. All our items with flowers encased are from either our own garden or from family and close friends that help feed my addiction, I dry all the flowers myself and store them until required for use or special custom makes, this process will be reflected in the prices but still trying to keep it affordable for all.
