I've found this pattern quite challenging only because I am new to working with double pointed needles, long tail casting on and Russian Cast off. However, YouTube videos came to the rescue and I have successfully completed one glove and started on the next. I am looking forward to making more pairs using this pattern.

I was searching for a baby pattern appropriate for a modern baby on the Canadian prairies. This striking pattern immediately got my attention and it received total approval from my grandson and his wife. It is really fun to knit with its colours and patterns, and is well written by the designer.

5* for the hats - warm, comfortable and stylish.
Only 2* for the scarf. The front part ( ie the two ends ) is excellent and is as shown in the picture. However the middle part ~( ie around the neck ) is not shown in the picture. The problem is that it is made up of 6 or 7 small offcuts of material sewn together with quite bulky seams. The scarf needs to be folded over lengthwise before placing around the neck and so all of these seams against one's skin make it less than comfortable.
It would be more honest to include a picture of the whole scarf laid out flat as well as on the dummy. Even better, if the back part was made of a single length of material the scarf would be much more comfortable.
