“Toys for your Purry friends”
Having spent all my childhood learning crafts from my mum (mum was taught by her mum and nan), I decided to take Textiles at GCSE.
After leaving school I dabbled in various artts and crafts. I never really thought I was great at anything.. but, with the advent of the internet, I found out I was quite good. With this new found realisation, I felt confident to make items for friends and family and now, some 40+ years since making my first slip knot, I have decided it's time to sell my items.
Many items I have previously made have been a one-off, made for a specific person in mind. However, I plan to make and sell pet toys.
I have a masters degree in Animal Welfare, and founded my own cat rescue charity. I use knowledge and experience from these, as well as knowledge and skill from my years of crafting, to develop suitable pet products.
Pet products
When I set this up, I found out there are no specific laws surrounding pet products here in the UK. This means that toys purchased inthe UK do not have to be fire tested, or even tested for suitability for animal use. This is atrocious animal welfare! I couldn't sleep at night knowing people were giving their beloved pets dangerous things, made from chemical trash to play with.
I use acrylic wool (yarn) which is safe for cats *as long as they are supervised during play*. If your cat ingests yarn, please do not consult the internet community, *take them to a vet immediately*. Items are "stuffed" with suitable material, whether its lentils (safe in moderation, best served cooked) or recycled/reused packaging.
Please *check toys for damage before, during and after playtime* and replace when damaged.

Will forever be known as my "semi-feral" despite sleeping on the bed and having his own cat sofa since he was a kitten.

Unwanted due to the cost of living, poor Binx arrived in rescue with his two siblings with no idea what he had done wrong.
