I love to make traditional Mohair teddy bears and lots of other little creatures.

My name is Margaret and I live in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park in a village called Threshfield. I have been making Teddy Bears and other animals since about 2011 but have only recently started to sell them.

I am retired and when we moved to Threshfield we turned a garden shed into a studio where I have my sewing machine and all my fabrics which just don't fit into the house anymore.

When I go into a fabric shop it's like a child gong into a sweet shop and I just can't resist buying even if I don't know what I am going to do with it but it always gets used for some bear clothes or for mice etc.,

The Mohair I use for my bears etc., is ether from Germany or UK but mostly Shulte Mohair which is used to make Steif teddy bears.

It is a very addictive craft and once you have made one bear or other animal you just can't stop and no two bears ever look the same even if I make them from the same pattern. They all have their own personality!
