I spent 25 years in the RAF, became a Maths teacher and now teach A-level Maths. I discovered an ability to turn wood by making lace bobbins for my wife, I have progressed onto almost every thing that can be made using a lathe.
The leather working is inspiration of my wife and is progressing well.
