As a Creative Inspirer, my passion is to help you develop your own style while stitching the world together.

Welcome to my Folksy shop! Here, you will find thoughtfully designed slow stitching kits that invite you to embrace mindful creativity and storytelling. Each kit is a journey into stitching, helping you develop your own creative style while celebrating the beauty of working with your hands.

I have been sewing since I was a little girl, finding such joy and calm in hand stitching. In 2018, I launched the Dangerous Pockets Project, which grew from a local initiative into a global movement, with over 400 pockets forming a travelling installation that brought people together through shared creativity.

My work is inspired by a promise I made to my dear friend Ellen in her final days - to share her dream of encouraging women to gather together and stitch slowly in gentle companionship. Honouring that promise, I created Slow Stitched Books – Ellen’s Legacy, now a thriving global community of nearly 11,000 women. To share my tutorials more widely, I launched Slow Stitch School, a space where I inspire others to embrace the art of slow, mindful stitching.

With a Master’s degree in Contemporary Bookbinding, I combine traditional skills with innovative techniques to design kits that reflect my love for nature, storytelling, and slow living. Living on an old farm, surrounded by the rhythms of the seasons, I curate materials with care, using reclaimed and vintage fabrics to ensure every kit is unique and sustainable.
