From dressing and designing outfits for paper dolls as a child, I have always enjoyed being creative. My mother taught me to knit, crochet and sew and I moved on from dressing dolls to making things for myself, family and friends.
I discovered a love for embroidery and widened my self taught knowledge with a college course in Design and Craft. This opened my eyes to so many possibilities it was difficult to know which path to take. Then, I stumbled across soutache. This colourful braid when stitched with beads had possibilities of it's own. I fell in love with the curls, waves, colours and shapes. It inspires me still, making one of a kind jewellery, accessories and pieces to decorate your home.
I enjoy making every piece and especially commissions when I get to work with a customer, including their ideas in to a design. I have won awards, including being chosen as a winner by Theo Pahitis (from dragons den) in his SBS competition.
